Mitigation Efforts Continue in Region 4 and Region 7 in Illinois

September 2, 2020 – Mitigation efforts continue in Region 4 and Region 7.

Video gaming operations at all licensed video gaming locations in Region 4 – Metro East (Bond, Clinton, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair and Washington Counties) and Region 7 – Northeastern Illinois (Kankakee and Will Counties) will have limited hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.

Specific to Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) gaming:

•   VGTs for Licensed Establishments (LEs) in Region 4 and 7 counties, both truck stops and liquor pouring locations, will be turned off at 11PM every night. They will be turned back on at 8AM the next day, or a later time if the liquor pouring start time is after 8AM.

•   Establishment capacity limits are set at 25%. This is an overall facility number and does not affect the gaming room, but still must only be one person per video gaming terminal (no congregating).

•   Food and beverage service in the gaming area is suspended, while curbside and carryout is permitted.

Region 4 will continue with the above mitigation efforts, including the suspension of food and beverage service in video gaming locations, and will be reevaluated on September 15th. Region 7 will be reevaluated on September 10th.

Please continue to follow the proper COVID-19 safety precautions so we can limit any further mitigation efforts. Thank you and Play it Safe™.
