Video Gaming at Jeffery Lanes in Wheeling, IL
Jeffery Lanes, also known as Pinheads, was established back in the 1950s. It’s not an overstatement to say it has one of the most interesting histories of any bowling alley in Wheeling, IL—or even the greater Cook County. When you visit Jeffery Lanes, don’t forget to take your turn on the video gaming machines. In addition to their old-school bowling lanes, Jeffrey Lanes partnered with J&J Gaming to ensure the best set of games to maximize your entertainment.
Food, Drinks, & Entertainment in Wheeling
When Jeffrey Lanes’ owner Helene bought the bowling alley, regulars told her it was haunted by Bud Miller, the original owner who passed away in the building. At first, she laughed off the stories. However, once she and her friends began hearing footsteps pacing the empty upstairs apartment and cleared-out lanes: she became a believer. Paranormals have even come out to investigate and confirmed that Jeffery Lanes is a Class A Haunting location.
This history fits right in with the place’s vintage atmosphere. With only eight lanes and no electronic scoring, this bowling alley takes guests back to when the game just meant having a great time with good friends. Their lounge includes a fully stocked bar and two jukeboxes. Jeffery Lanes also offers two weekly karaoke nights and event and party hosting services. The whole alley is available to rent for private parties and charities. They’ve been holding their annual Firemen and Paramedic Bowling Tournament for almost 60 years now!
If you’re looking for a blast from the past while sipping on a good drink, listening to great tunes, enjoying quality company, trying your luck on the video slots, and “bowling the way it USED to be,” Jeffery Lanes will take you there.
