Illinois Video Gaming Changes for Region 4 – Metro East

Illinois Video Gaming Changes for Region 4 – Metro East

August 18, 2020 – Governor Pritzker has ordered changes to Region 4 due to increasing positivity rates and other factors measured by the Illinois Department of Health’s regional metrics. Region 4 includes the counties of Bond, Clinton, Madison, Randolph, St. Clair and Washington.  Click here for the full detail of the new mitigations required to help curb the spread of Coronavirus.

Specific to Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) gaming:

•   VGTs for Licensed Establishments (LEs) in Region 4 counties, both truck stops and liquor pouring locations, will be turned off at 11PM every night. They will be turned back on at 8AM the next day, or a later time if the liquor pouring start time is after 8AM.

•   Establishment capacity limits are set at 25%. This is an overall facility number and does not affect the gaming room.

•   Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) has advised these efforts will be re-evaluated in two weeks, on September 1st, and adjustments will be made as needed.

This will begin tonight at 11PM.  If there are communication issues, there may be delays in the VGTs going off and/or turning back on.  Please allow an hour before reporting these anomalies while the processes fully implement.

All other regions are not affected and will have normal play at this time.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding and please continue to Play it Safe™ and follow all COVID-19 safety precautions.
